2020 Annual Meeting for Members
Last month, the Missoula Midtown Association (MMA) held its Annual Membership Meeting to provide updates on the organization and activity around Midtown. The event was a great success thanks to a highly-collaborative effort by the Events Committee under the direction of Sandy Bollom and three of the association’s newest members: Fairbridge Inn & Suites who hosted, Notorious P.I.G. who served lunch, and Big Dipper Ice Cream who provided dessert.
President of the Association, Mark Bellon, gave a brief recap of the association’s history and accomplishments over the course of 2019 before detailing the strategic goals the Board of Directors has set for the remainder of 2020, including growth of membership, the establishment of a partnership with the Western Montana Fair, diversification of revenue sources, and the initial framework for the Midtown Master Plan.
In addition to the information presented by Mark, three additional speakers shared updates from around Midtown – Emily Brock, Director of the Missoula County Fairgrounds; Tim Winger, General Manager of Southgate Mall; and Claire Matten, CCIM with Sterling Commercial Real Estate Advisers, who enlightened attendees with facts and figures related to development and jobs around the Midtown area.
Finally, everyone present was asked to participate in a working session to brainstorm and share ideas on how to improve the association and the Midtown community, resulting in several great suggestions.
A huge Thank You to everyone who assisted in making this event happen, our Gold & Foundation Sponsors, and all Members who make up this enthusiastic and growing organization.
